Frantal Tabu, the credited songwriter on this record, played with a number of Congolese bands in Kenya, including Orch Shika-Shika and Orch Boma Liwanza and formed Orch Vundumuna with Sammy Kasule in 1984.

The band seems to have been one of the less well-known Congolese outfits operating in Kenya. It did, however, record at least one other single on the Editions Boyoma label and one on Editions Ya Babeti.
