Martin Fuchs in Germany sent in details of this single, and very kindly provided a label scan too, in September 2011. It is by one of the less well-known Congolese bands operating in Kenya in the 1970s. Avoni Vangu, the credited songwriter here, was one of the many performers to pass through Baba Gaston’s band. He is presumably the driving force behind this label, given that its catalogue number is based on his initials. Orch Malekesa also recorded for Editions de Hudson and Editions Ya Babeti, and Frantal Tabu was a member of the band at some point, but I have been unable to establish whether they were primarily a recording outfit or had a residency in Nairobi or another Kenyan city.
