TSAVO RECORDS

A Polygram label from the 1980s.

7TSV 006 is from Doug Paterson’s collection, a late 1980s release by Juwata Jazz, a Tanzanian band who also recorded for Ahadi, CBS, Ken-Tanza and Super Matatu.

7TSV 005, which turned up in March 2011 on German Ebay, is by a Congolese musician who had other records released in Kenya by ASL and CBS and went on to have a hit in Europe with Le Telephone Sonne.

Peter Toll very kindly provided details of 7TSV 004 and 7TSC 015 in August 2011. It is possible that there’s a link between the Segero Matata band and the Sega Matata Band that evolved into Orch Sega-Sega.
